About our Business
PSBoxer Breeding was born several years in the past after our first Boxer passed away with Lymphoma Cancer. Brystal was only 4 years old and we had gotten her without her tail docked and was not trained at an early age. She had learned to be aggressive to survive.
We had never owned a boxer but Brystal brought to life our family. She was playful, but played harder than any dog I have ever owned. She would do flying body slams in order to try and land you on the ground to lick your face. She was a strong protector as well. She was trained to bark at the door if anyone approached but one night when my wife was alone, Brystal started barking at the door, no one was knocking. My wife decided to teach Brystal a lesson and kick her out. She went after that person full force. They got away, but not before the fear of life was put on them and you should have seen how proud Brystal was to have protected her mom.
Brystal was a tough challenge to train, she once dug through our floor (through the laminate floor into the subfloor). We started taking her to classes and socializing her. With a lot of help from trainers and friends, Brystal turned into one of the best dogs we have ever owned. When she came down with Cancer, we fought hard, but was told that Chemo was only a maintenance program not a life saving one. We spent well over what we could afford, just to have one more month with her.
Prior to our ownership we didn't know boxers could get cancer at such a young age. One theory that we learned about talked about the problem of interbreeding pure breed dogs. We decided then and their that if we where going to continue to have boxers, we wanted to improve the breed. That is how we got started. In months to come we bought Mandy from the Tri-cities in Washington State and flew Braddock in from the Mid-west as a pup. We further decided that we where not going to be typical breeders. Mandy and Braddock headed to puppy school. We trained them with positive reinforcement and created them to be an exclusive breeding pair. We Kennel trained them and taught them the limits of the yard. Braddock sometimes needs a gentle reminder because he wants to go play with the kids down in the park.
We added Tessa in the fall of 2008 as a puppy. We again looked far and wide and found her North of the Tri-cities. With champion bloodlines and longevity in her breeding we added Tessa to our family. Tessa has been in the process of being trained and has added a great deal to our family. Levi and Tessa play and fight a lot like two siblings. Levi throws apples and Tessa chases them. Tessa loves to play. While Tessa moved through her first heat cycle we did not allow her to breed because she is still too young. Tessa will need to finish up her training and grow prior to bringing her into our breeding program.
